The Informant! (2009) tells the story of Mark Whitacre, a rising star at Archer Daniels Midland (ADM), who becomes a whistleblower, aiding the FBI in uncovering a price-fixing conspiracy. But as the investigation progresses, Whitacre's increasingly erratic behavior and fabricated stories begin to unravel, casting doubt on his reliability and the entire case. Matt Damon portrays Mark Whitacre, and Scott Bakula plays FBI agent Brian Shepard.

As they embark on a cross-country journey, they encounter various challenges and develop an unlikely camaraderie.
