Trump's assault cases
Since the start of his career, Trump has faced numerous allegations of sexual assault and harassment. One case involves E. Jean Carroll, a former magazine columnist who claims Trump assaulted her in a Bergdorf Goodman dressing room in the mid-1990s. Carroll detailed the incident vividly, stating that Trump attacked her. Following his public denials and derogatory comments about her character, Carroll filed a defamation lawsuit against him.
Summer Zervos, a former contestant on "The Apprentice," is another accuser who claims that Trump groped her in a hotel room in 2007. After Trump dismissed her allegations as fabrications, Zervos filed a defamation lawsuit against him, leading to a protracted legal battle that highlighted the challenges women face when confronting powerful male figures.
Jessica Leeds claimed that Trump groped her on a plane in the 1980s, describing how he attempted to touch her under her skirt without her consent during the flight.
Natasha Stoynoff said that Trump forcibly kissed her during a 2005 interview for People magazine, saying she was trapped against a wall.
Kristin Anderson, a former model, accused Trump of groping her at a NYC nightclub in the early 1990s, recounting how Trump reached under her skirt without her consent while they were seated together.
Mindy McGillivray, a former event planner, said that Trump groped her at Mar-a-Lago in 2003 when she was 23 years old.
Former Miss Teen USA contestant Karlie Hay claimed Trump made inappropriate comments about her at a pageant, while another woman, Rachel Crooks, described an incident where Trump forcibly kissed her in 2005.
Despite the seriousness of these accusations spanning decades, Trump not only denies all claims but mocks his accusers, making derogatory remarks about their appearance while encouraging his followers to do the same. This dynamic that Trump has helped create contributes to a culture of disbelief and diminishes the voices of women who come forward with their stories.
