If you vote for Trump, you ARE pro-Trump.

I recently found myself in a Memphis pub visiting with a friendly stranger who eventually brought up the upcoming election. He started by saying: "I’m not a Trump fan or pro-Trump, but I’ll probably have to vote for him for my business and tax reasons." I said: "Don’t kid yourself, my friend. You vote for Trump and you're as MAGA as that Viking guy with the horns on January 6th." His eyes widened a bit with surprise.
The 'Viking guy' I was referring to is Jacob Chansley, better known as the “QAnon Shaman,” who was famously photographed during the Capitol riots wearing a fur headdress with Viking horns. Chansley played a visible role in the attack and became a symbol of the violent insurrection. He was just sentenced to 41 months in prison. His conviction is a stark reminder of the consequences of blindly supporting dangerous and destructive rhetoric, no matter the excuse for it.
From the moment he entered the political scene, Trump spread false claims about immigrants, minorities, and political opponents. His infamous comment about Mexican immigrants being "rapists" and his proposal for a Muslim ban were blatant acts of racism that stirred fear and division in the country. Trump’s lies didn’t stop there. The 2020 election was another example of his willingness to deceive. Despite overwhelming evidence that the election was fair, Trump continuously pushed the false narrative that it was stolen, leading to the violent insurrection on January 6.
If you cast your vote for Trump, you might as well put that big red hat on while you do it. You are endorsing him and everything he stands for.
