Ed Wood (1994) is a fantastic Tim Burton film that tells the story of Edward D. Wood Jr. (Johnny Depp), often considered the "worst director of all time." It is unsurprising that this film was a minimal box office success. The film is a black and white biopic that celebrates Wood's passion for filmmaking despite his lack of talent, and features a memorable performance by Martin Landau as Bela Lugosi.

Midnight Run (1988) is an outstanding comedic action film directed by Martin Brest and written by George Gallo.
