AI can now detect heart conditions

Artificial intelligence is now capable of detecting heart conditions, such as atrial fibrillation, before individuals exhibit any symptoms. By analyzing electrocardiogram (ECG) data, AI algorithms can identify subtle patterns indicative of future cardiac issues, enabling earlier intervention and potentially improving patient outcomes.

For instance, a recent study demonstrated that an AI system accurately predicted atrial fibrillation in patients who had not yet experienced any symptoms. This early detection allows healthcare providers to monitor at-risk individuals more closely and implement preventive measures, thereby reducing the likelihood of severe complications.
