Billionaires want to survive nuclear attack, societal collapse

In recent years, billionaires have shown a growing interest in preparing for worst-case scenarios, from nuclear attacks to societal collapse. They have reached out to survival experts and security consultants to devise elaborate plans to protect themselves and their families. These consultations often revolve around securing private bunkers, fortifying shelters, and employing top-notch security teams. But as discussions unfold, the questions these ultra-wealthy clients ask take on an increasingly bizarre nature.

Survival expert Douglas Rushkoff, who has consulted with multiple billionaires, shared that these wealthy individuals often go beyond typical survival preparations. "They were asking about controlling their security forces," Rushkoff noted, "if the world as we know it ceases to exist, they’re worried about keeping their private guards loyal without money as an incentive." This speaks to a level of paranoia among the elite, who fear not just external threats, but the potential collapse of societal structures that allow them to hold power.

Questions about bunkers have also become strangely specific. One consultant reported a client asking, “How do I make sure my bunker can survive a direct hit from a nuclear bomb?” while another queried, “Is there a way to ensure the air supply in my shelter isn’t compromised by attackers outside?” Such extreme scenarios reflect a fear not only of global catastrophes but also of targeted assaults. Some billionaires have even asked about the feasibility of storing cloned body parts in case of injury, pushing the boundaries of practical survival strategies.

The confidentiality of these clients remains paramount, making it difficult to identify which billionaires are planning for such apocalyptic events. However, the pattern is clear: these wealthy individuals are exploring every possible angle of survival, from the plausible to the far-fetched. As one security expert put it, “They’re preparing for the end of the world, but the questions they’re asking make you wonder if they’ve already started living in a different reality.”
