Trump's relationship with Putin revealed in new Woodward book

A new book by journalist Bob Woodward uncovers more details about Donald Trump's interactions with Russian President Vladimir Putin. According to the book, Trump expressed admiration for Putin’s leadership style and often downplayed concerns about Russia's interference in U.S. elections. Woodward’s research also highlights how Trump’s close ties with Putin raised alarms among his own advisers, who feared that Trump’s approach could undermine national security.

Trump reportedly praised Putin in private conversations, calling him a "strong leader," while dismissing warnings from U.S. intelligence about Russia’s activities. Woodward's book provides numerous accounts where Trump was more concerned about maintaining a personal rapport with Putin than addressing global geopolitical risks.
